1:35 Airfix 1376 Sturmpanzer IV Brummbar Mid Version Plastic Model kit
The Sturmpanzer IV, often referred to as the Brummbär, was a heavily armoured assault gun built on the reliable Panzer IV chassis. While the nickname “Brummbär” likely came from the Allies, the Germans themselves simply called it the Stupa 43, a direct reference to its formidable 15 cm howitzer. Developed specifically for brutal urban combat, this vehicle proved its worth during some of the fiercest battles of World War II.
The Sturmpanzer IV saw action in Operation Citadel at Kursk, fought across the Soviet Union, engaged in Poland and Italy, and played a role in the Normandy campaign as well as the Warsaw Uprising. Despite its strength, only around 306 units were built, and just a few survive today in museums.
