1:1200 Airfix 50120 Sink The Bismarck! WWII - 7 Warships - Gift Set Plastic Model kit

With the Airfix 50120 Sink The Bismarck! Gift Set, you can build seven warships in 1:1200 scale and bring one of the most dramatic naval encounters of the Second World War to life. This extensive model kit focuses on the historic pursuit of the German battleship Bismarck by the British Royal Navy in May 1941. It makes a fascinating building project for enthusiasts of naval history and classic warships.

Bismarck posed a serious threat to the British fleet and vital Allied shipping routes with her powerful armament. During the Battle of the Denmark Strait, the German battleship sank HMS Hood, prompting the Royal Navy to launch a major pursuit. Following several attacks from the air and sea, Bismarck's steering was disabled. On 27 May 1941, the final confrontation took place, with HMS King George V and HMS Rodney among the ships bombarding the heavily damaged battleship. Bismarck was ultimately scuttled by her own crew.

This Airfix Gift Set allows you to recreate the famous confrontation in miniature. The set contains 297 plastic components for the seven ship models and comes complete with acrylic paint, model cement and a brush.
