The Datsun Bluebird 1600 SSS is one of the best-known sporting Japanese saloons of its era. The 510 generation, introduced in 1967, combined practical bodywork with modern engineering and excellent handling characteristics. The SSS designation stood for Super Sports Sedan and identified the more performance-oriented versions within the Bluebird range. Thanks to its dependable four-cylinder engine, independent suspension and excellent potential for sporting modifications, the Bluebird 510 earned a strong reputation among motoring enthusiasts. Particularly in Japan and the United States, the model became a cherished classic, both on the road and in motorsport.

Hasegawa gives this Datsun Bluebird a sportier appearance with a specially included set of plastic Watanabe wheels. This classic Japanese alloy wheel design is renowned for its eight-spoke pattern and perfectly complements the timeless character of the Bluebird 1600 SSS. The body components are moulded in blue plastic, providing a distinctive starting point for the finished model. Comprising approximately 66 parts, the kit offers an enjoyable opportunity to recreate the characteristic bodywork, interior and sporting details. An appealing choice for modellers who appreciate classic Japanese cars, vintage tuning and authentic road vehicles.
