An elegant white body, striking red wheel centres and the distinctive ducktail rear spoiler: the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 is one of the most celebrated sports cars in German motoring history. With the Tamiya 28103 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7, you can recreate this legendary classic as a plastic model kit in 1:24 scale. Part of Tamiya's innovative Clic Loc series, the model features a clever snap-fit system that allows the parts to be assembled without cement. The components are moulded in the appropriate colours, so painting is not required to achieve an attractive finish. With just 51 parts and an estimated assembly time of approximately two to three hours, this Porsche offers an accessible and rewarding project for beginners and experienced modellers alike.

The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was introduced in 1972 as a homologation model for international GT racing in 1973. Based on the famous Porsche 911, the sports car featured a lighter body, wider rear tyres and improved aerodynamics. Its rear-mounted, air-cooled 2.7-litre flat-six engine produced 210 hp. One of its most recognisable features was the distinctive ducktail rear spoiler, designed to improve stability at high speeds. Combining low weight, powerful performance and outstanding handling, the Carrera RS 2.7 became one of the most sought-after classic Porsches ever produced.

Tamiya has designed this remarkable sports car with particular attention to ease of assembly and an impressive finished appearance. The white body is complemented by metal-plated wheel rims and red wheel centres, faithfully capturing the distinctive styling of this version. The ducktail spoiler is accurately reproduced using advanced slide-moulding technology, while the interior consists of a single moulded component designed to fit neatly inside the body. The chassis underside is realistically detailed, and the front wheels can be steered. Transparent components provide realistic windows and lights, while plated parts, metallic stickers and clear stickers complete details such as the window frames, headlights and Carrera logos. The illustrated instruction manual also includes useful assembly tips and background information about the original Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7.
