During the September Campaign of 1939, infantry formed the backbone of the Polish Army. Soldiers fought from defensive positions, villages and towns, while also carrying out counterattacks and delaying actions to resist the German advance. Polish infantrymen wore distinctive field uniforms and used a variety of weapons, including rifles, light machine guns and anti-tank weapons. Despite difficult circumstances and the subsequent Soviet invasion from the east, the Polish Army continued organised resistance for more than five weeks. The four figures in this IBG Models set allow you to recreate a quieter moment between battles, adding a human and historical dimension to your diorama.

Thanks to its versatile applications, this figure set is ideal for modellers looking to create an authentic scene from the Polish September Campaign. Position the soldiers along a country road, at a temporary resting place, in a village setting or beside a Polish military vehicle from 1939. Combine the figures with suitable buildings, military equipment and terrain accessories to create an atmospheric diorama. The 1:35 scale provides excellent opportunities for detailed uniform painting and realistic finishing techniques. The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted; paint and glue are not included.
