1:35 MiniArt 53070 75 mm M48 Shells with Lobster Transport Boxes for M3/M4 Tanks - 15 Shells & 5 Boxes Plastic Model kit

Detailed artillery shells, distinctive wooden shipping crates and authentic military supply equipment: the MiniArt 53070 75 mm M48 Shells with Lobster Shipping Crates set adds an extra level of realism to American tank models and Second World War dioramas. This comprehensive 1:35 scale accessory set includes fifteen 75 mm M48 shells, five wooden Lobster shipping crates and five bundle packings. The combination of ammunition and its associated packaging is ideal for recreating supply areas, ammunition storage locations and loading scenes involving American M3 and M4 medium tanks.

During the Second World War, American M3 Lee and M4 Sherman tanks used 75 mm guns capable of firing several types of ammunition. The M48 was a high-explosive shell employed against infantry, field positions and other unarmoured targets. Special wooden shipping crates were used to transport and store these shells safely. The distinctive Lobster crates helped protect the ammunition during transportation and allowed supplies to be organised for delivery to military units. Such ammunition crates and supply equipment were an important part of everyday logistics behind the front lines.

MiniArt recreates this historical ammunition and its transport packaging as a detailed plastic model kit in 1:35 scale. The fifteen M48 shells can be displayed individually or arranged alongside the five Lobster shipping crates and five bundle packings. This provides excellent opportunities to create realistic scenes, such as resupplying a Sherman tank, establishing a temporary ammunition depot or depicting a vehicle maintenance area with shells laid out nearby. The components offer plenty of scope for precise painting, convincing wood finishes, metallic effects and subtle weathering. A versatile accessory set that adds greater historical depth to military vehicles and diorama displays.
