1:35 Takom 2024 Škoda PA-II Turtle - Czechoslovak Armoured Car Plastic Model kit

Bring a distinctive piece of European military history to life with the Takom 2024 Škoda PA-II Turtle in 1:35 scale. This detailed plastic model kit recreates the unusual Czechoslovak armoured car from the interwar period, nicknamed the 'Turtle' or 'Želva' because of its distinctive rounded armour. Developed during the 1920s, the Škoda PA-II stood out for its unconventional design, featuring curved armour plates that created an instantly recognisable silhouette. With its compact bodywork, four machine guns and historical appearance, this armoured car makes an appealing modelling project for enthusiasts of rare military vehicles, interwar armour and detailed scale models.

The Škoda PA-II was developed as a successor to earlier Czechoslovak armoured cars and was powered by an engine producing approximately 70 hp. Its armament consisted of four 7.92 mm machine guns, allowing the vehicle to cover several directions. Despite its distinctive construction and innovative appearance, the armoured car proved less successful in service than originally anticipated. It was relatively heavy, offered limited space for its crew and suffered from restricted visibility. Only around twelve vehicles were produced, with examples used for military exercises, parades and police duties. This unusual history makes the Škoda PA-II a fascinating subject for modellers who enjoy building lesser-known armoured vehicles.

The Takom 2024 Škoda PA-II Turtle offers a choice of four different vehicle configurations. The kit contains accurately moulded plastic components for reproducing the distinctive armoured body, characteristic wheel arches, machine gun positions and detailed chassis. Realistic rubber tyres and transparent lighting components contribute to an authentic finish. The kit also offers possibilities for several historical versions, including Czechoslovak military and police vehicles and a German radio vehicle equipped with a distinctive frame antenna. Included decals allow you to apply authentic markings and camouflage schemes. Thanks to its 1:35 scale, this unusual armoured car is ideal as a standalone display model or as part of a historical military diorama.
