Description

The 1:35 Trumpeter 00384 E-100 Super Heavy Tank is an impressive plastic model kit of a German experimental super-heavy tank from the Second World War. This Static Armor model is ideal for modellers who enjoy rare German prototype vehicles, heavy armour projects and striking 1:35 models with a powerful presence in a display cabinet or diorama setting.

The E-100 was developed within the Entwicklungsserie programme, which was intended to create a standardised range of German fighting vehicles using as many common components as possible. Within this programme, the E-100 was planned as the heaviest tank, based on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger II Ausf. B. The focus was on maximum firepower and heavy armour, especially at the front of the hull and turret. Despite advanced development, the project was stopped in 1944 and the E-100 never entered mass production.

Only one E-100 prototype hull was built in 1943 or 1944. Development began in June 1943 and continued until 1944, when Hitler stopped all development of super-heavy tanks. Even then, three engineers continued the work at low priority, and by the end of the war the prototype was nearly finished, needing only a turret. After capture by the Allies, the only prototype was sent to England and scrapped after the war. This Trumpeter kit offers an imposing model with 256 parts, a slide-moulded one-piece turret, full length tracks and photo-etched details. Order today from Most-Models.com and benefit from fast delivery, excellent customer service and a strong range of Trumpeter model kits, German super-heavy tanks and 1:35 military scale models.
