1:48 Eduard 82158 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc – ProfiPACK Edition – British Fighter Aircraft Plastic Model kit
The 1:48 Eduard 82158 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc ProfiPACK Edition is a well-equipped plastic model kit of a British Second World War fighter aircraft. This kit presents Spitfires from the RAF, USAAF and Free French Air Force, giving you several historical angles to create a model with its own character.
The Supermarine Spitfire is probably the most famous British fighter of the Second World War. Designed under RJ Mitchell of Supermarine, the aircraft was known for its all-metal construction, low-wing layout, elliptical wings, classic tail and retractable landing gear. The prototype first flew on 5 March 1936, and the first aircraft entered RAF units in 1938. By the Battle of Britain, 19 squadrons of modern fighters were ready, and the Spitfire became a powerful symbol of British resistance and victory.
The Mk.V was an important step within the Spitfire family. This version received the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine with 1440 hp, later also Merlin 50 engines, and entered series production in 1941 as the RAF response to the Messerschmitt Bf 109F. The Spitfire then served on almost every RAF front, from the Far East and North Africa to Italy, Normandy, France and Germany in 1945. With Eduard plastic parts, Eduard decals, six marking options, pre-painted PE parts and a painting mask, this ProfiPACK offers a strong basis for a clean, historical and convincing 1:48 scale model. Order today from Most-Models.com and benefit from fast delivery, excellent customer service and a strong range of Eduard ProfiPACK kits, RAF fighter aircraft and Spitfire model kits.
