Description

The 1:72 Heller 79997 US 1/4 Ton Truck & Trailer is a plastic model kit of an American cross-country vehicle with trailer, inspired by one of the most recognisable military vehicles of the Second World War. The Willys Jeep, also known as the Willys MB or Jeep, became a symbol of mobility, simplicity and reliability on almost every front.

In July 1941, Willys Overland won the contract for a small multi-purpose cross-country vehicle that had to meet strict requirements: easy to drive, easy to maintain, quick to repair and suitable for mass production. Assembly was straightforward, using only the necessary parts. The Jeep was born: a timeless vehicle with a strong look and a lasting place in military history.

The Willys Jeep was developed at the request of the US Army, which in 1940 needed a new 4x4 passenger vehicle with a payload of up to 250 kilograms. Although the Bantam BRC was initially the favourite, Willys used the shared plans to develop a mechanically stronger version with a better power unit. The Willys Jeep ultimately won the tender and was used in large numbers by Allied armies, including the Soviet Union through Lend-Lease. Order today from Most-Models.com and benefit from fast delivery, excellent customer service and a strong range of Heller model kits, American WWII vehicles and 1:72 military vehicles.
