1:72 IBG Models 72137 KTO Rosomak - Polish Armoured Vehicle Plastic Model kit
With the 1:72 IBG Models 72137 KTO Rosomak, you can build a modern Polish 8x8 armoured personnel carrier that plays an important role within the Polish Land Forces. The Rosomak is based on the Finnish Patria AMV platform and is manufactured in Poland by Rosomak S.A. Since entering service in the 2000s, it has developed into a highly versatile platform for infantry transport, command and control, medical evacuation and reconnaissance.
The KTO Rosomak combines strong road mobility with good off-road capability. Its armour provides protection against small-arms fire and shrapnel, while different variants can carry a range of weapon systems. The basic version is armed with a 30 mm ATK Mk44 cannon and a 7.62 mm UKM2000C machine gun in the Hitfist 30 turret. Powered by a 490 hp Scania D1 12 turbodiesel engine, the approximately 22-ton vehicle can reach around 100 km/h on the road.
The Rosomak also proved itself during international deployments, including operations in Afghanistan. The standard crew consists of three personnel and the vehicle can carry up to eight troops, although this was often reduced to six during Afghan service. Continuous upgrades, including trials with the ZSSW-30 turret, Spike LR missiles and new communication systems, help keep the Rosomak modern and operationally relevant.
