1:72 IBG Models 72162 Bedford MWR WWII - British Radio Command Vehicle Plastic Model kit

Bring the distinctive military communications vehicles of the Second World War to life with the IBG Models 72162 Bedford MWR British Radio Command Vehicle! This detailed plastic model kit in 1:72 scale represents the characteristic Bedford MWR, a specialised radio vehicle used by British and Commonwealth forces. With its compact truck chassis, robust four-wheel-drive system and distinctive body designed for communications equipment, this vehicle makes an interesting addition to any collection of historical military vehicles. The recognisable combination of a practical military truck and a specialised radio body gives the Bedford MWR an authentic appearance that fits perfectly into command posts, military convoys and historical dioramas.

The Bedford MWR was developed from the successful Bedford MW series of 15-cwt light military trucks. During the Second World War, the need for reliable mobile communications increased as commanders required constant contact with different military units. The MWR was therefore equipped with a purpose-built body providing space for radio equipment and operating personnel. Thanks to its four-wheel-drive system, the vehicle could also operate away from established roads, allowing signals units to carry out their duties under a variety of terrain conditions. Its distinctive bodywork, aerials and communications equipment clearly distinguished this version from standard Bedford MW cargo trucks.

With this IBG Models kit, you can build a recognisable British military communications vehicle that played an important supporting role during the Second World War. Position the Bedford MWR beside a temporary command post, at a military encampment or as part of a transport convoy to create a convincing historical scene. Combine the vehicle with British military figures, trucks, tents and suitable terrain accessories for a lively diorama. Thanks to its compact 1:72 scale, the radio command vehicle is particularly suitable for larger military displays featuring several vehicles and support units.
