This 20 ml metallic acrylic paint is the Base step within IONIC’s professional Real Heavy Metal 3-step system and is engineered for authentic metallic shine and maximum intensity from the first layer.

Real Heavy Metal was developed and refined by IONIC for more than a year to tackle common metallic painting problems such as visible brush marks, uneven shine, dull colours, loss of reflectivity, harsh highlights and pigment rubbing off.

Mercury Turquoise Base features a high-coverage, fast-drying and self-levelling formula capable of covering in a single coat. Ultra-fine metallic pigment provides realistic reflections and a smooth metallic appearance. Apply it by brush or airbrush and combine it with Metallic Wash and Metallic Highlight within the complete system.

The durable paint is resistant to enamels, oils and weathering effects and does not reactivate with water once fully dry. You can also mix Mercury Turquoise Base with other IONIC acrylics for cool, warm, aged, oxidised or customised metallic tones.
