This 20 ml metallic acrylic paint is the Base step within the Real Heavy Metal 3-step system and combines high coverage with fast drying and convincing metallic shine.

Real Heavy Metal was developed and refined by IONIC for more than a year to reduce common issues such as visible brush marks, uneven shine, dull metallics, harsh highlights and loss of reflectivity. This gives you a fast and controlled workflow regardless of experience level.

Shimmering Green Base can cover in a single coat and features excellent self-levelling properties. Ultra-fine metallic pigment creates realistic reflections and the paint performs well with both brush and airbrush. Within the full system, combine the Base with Metallic Wash and Metallic Highlight.

Once dry, the paint does not reactivate with water and its durable finish is resistant to enamels, oils and weathering effects. Mix Shimmering Green Base with other IONIC acrylics to create your own cool, warm, aged or oxidised metallic effects.
