This 20 ml metallic acrylic paint is the Base step within the Real Heavy Metal system and is designed for a convincing metallic shine with maximum intensity and plenty of character.

Real Heavy Metal was developed and refined by IONIC for more than a year to reduce common problems such as visible brush marks, uneven shine, dull metallics, harsh highlights and loss of reflectivity. This allows you to build a professional metallic result without complicated mixing.

Antique Gold Base features a high-coverage, fast-drying and self-levelling formula capable of covering in a single coat. Ultra-fine metallic pigment creates realistic reflections and a smooth finish. Apply it by brush or airbrush and combine it with Metallic Wash and Metallic Highlight within the complete system.

The durable paint is resistant to enamels, oils and weathering effects and does not reactivate with water once fully dry. Antique Gold Base can be mixed with other IONIC acrylics to create warm, cool, aged, oxidised or completely customised metallic effects.
