This 20 ml metallic acrylic wash is the Wash step within the professional Real Heavy Metal system and flows easily into panel lines, joints and recessed details.

Tarnished Metal Metallic Wash is designed for controlled shading while preserving the metallic appearance. This quickly adds volume, definition and a convincing tarnished metal appearance without completely removing reflectivity. Real Heavy Metal was developed and refined by IONIC for more than a year for beginners and advanced painters alike.

Within the Real Heavy Metal 3-step system, Metallic Wash is applied after Base and before Highlight. The coordinated Base, Wash and Highlight stages allow you to build harmonious metallic finishes without complicated blending or mixing.

The paint offers excellent coverage, self-levelling properties and ultra-fine metallic pigment for realistic reflections. Apply it by brush or airbrush. Once fully dry, it does not reactivate with water and is resistant to enamels, oils and weathering effects without lifting.
