1:32 Italeri 2524 Macchi MC.202 Folgore Early Series WWII - Italian Fighter Aircraft Plastic Model kit

Bring one of the most important Italian fighter aircraft of the Second World War to life with the Italeri 2524 Macchi MC.202 Folgore Early Series in 1:32 scale. This impressive plastic model kit recreates the early production version of the Macchi MC.202 Folgore, a fighter aircraft introduced into service with the Italian Regia Aeronautica in 1941. With its streamlined fuselage, elegant wing design and powerful Daimler-Benz DB 601 inline engine, the Folgore represented a major improvement over earlier Italian fighters. Capable of reaching approximately 600 km/h and armed with two 12.7 mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns mounted in the nose, the aircraft proved a formidable opponent for Allied fighters. Its distinctive appearance and historical significance make this kit particularly appealing to enthusiasts of military aviation and detailed WWII aircraft modelling.

The Italeri 2524 Macchi MC.202 Folgore Early Series stands out for its exceptional level of detail and extensive selection of additional components. The kit features new plastic parts, a highly detailed cockpit with realistic 3D decals, and accurately reproduced engine and nose gun bay details. The undercarriage and wheel wells are also carefully represented, with optional covers offering additional building possibilities. Included photo-etched parts provide enhanced detailing for the engine, cockpit, flaps and other aircraft components. Realistic panel lines and rivets contribute to the authentic appearance, while movable ailerons and elevators, together with the option to position the flaps open or closed, offer greater flexibility when displaying the completed model.

Thanks to its impressive 1:32 scale, the technical features and distinctive lines of the Macchi MC.202 Folgore are reproduced in exceptional detail. The completed aircraft measures approximately 27.6 cm in length, making it an impressive display model. An extensive Super Decal sheet provides six historical marking options, allowing you to recreate authentic Italian unit insignia and camouflage schemes. The kit also includes a masking sheet for precise painting and a detailed full-colour guide covering camouflage finishes and decal placement. Combining finely moulded plastic components, 3D decals, photo-etched details and multiple assembly options, this Italeri kit offers a rewarding and versatile modelling project for experienced modellers and dedicated enthusiasts of historical military aircraft.
