A valuable addition for modellers looking to enhance their military aircraft with extra technical detail and historically appropriate external equipment.

During the Cold War and the Vietnam War, the United States developed increasingly sophisticated weapons systems for combat aircraft. Alongside conventional bombs, various guided weapons entered service, including the AGM-12 Bullpup missile and AGM-62 Walleye. Laser-guided bombs from the Paveway family also became increasingly important for precision strikes. Rocket launchers such as the LAU-3 and LAU-10 were employed for air-to-ground attacks, while electronic countermeasure pods and specialised targeting systems further expanded the operational capabilities of military aircraft. This Hasegawa set brings together a wide range of characteristic weapons and systems from this period.

The kit includes several types of guided bombs and missiles, including AGM-12B and AGM-12C Bullpup missiles, AGM-62A Walleye weapons and GBU-8, GBU-10 and GBU-12 precision-guided bombs. The famous AIM-54 Phoenix air-to-air missile is also represented. Additional equipment includes LAU-3 and LAU-10 rocket launchers, Pave Spike and Pave Knife targeting pods, and various ALQ electronic warfare systems. Special launchers and mounting racks allow you to equip suitable aircraft models with a varied selection of external stores. Aircraft Weapons B is therefore particularly useful for detailing F-4 Phantom II, F-14 Tomcat and other compatible American military aircraft models.
