1:72 Heller 30806 M142 HIMARS - American Multiple Rocket Launcher Plastic Model kit

A robust military truck, an impressive rocket launcher and the mobility of a modern artillery system: the M142 HIMARS is one of the most recognisable American rocket artillery vehicles in service today. With the Heller 30806 M142 HIMARS, you can recreate this distinctive military vehicle as a plastic model kit in 1:72 scale. Its armoured cab, six-wheeled chassis and large launcher module capture the unmistakable appearance of the original vehicle. An appealing modelling project for enthusiasts of modern military vehicles, American defence engineering and contemporary artillery systems.

The M142 HIMARS, short for High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, was developed to combine accurate rocket artillery with exceptional mobility. Built on a military 6×6 truck chassis, the system can travel by road more quickly than heavier tracked rocket launchers. HIMARS carries a single launch pod capable of accommodating six guided GMLRS rockets or one larger tactical missile, depending on the configuration. Developed by Lockheed Martin, the system entered service with the US Army in 2005. Its combination of precision, mobility and the ability to relocate quickly after firing makes HIMARS an important part of modern rocket artillery. In addition to the United States, the system has been adopted by several other countries.

Heller recreates this modern American rocket artillery vehicle in 1:72 scale. The kit comprises 77 parts and captures the characteristic construction of the M142, including its six-wheeled chassis, armoured driver's cab and rear-mounted rocket launcher. The distinctive vehicle components provide excellent opportunities for accurate military camouflage painting and subtle weathering. Thanks to its compact scale, the M142 HIMARS can easily be displayed alongside other modern military vehicles. Present the completed model as a standalone display piece or incorporate it into a diorama depicting a military base, training ground or artillery position.
