1:72 Italeri 91278 Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.3 Winter Camo - British Attack Aircraft Plastic Model kit

Bring one of the most distinctive British military aircraft to life with the Italeri 91278 Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.3 Winter Camo in 1:72 scale. This detailed plastic model kit recreates the famous Harrier GR.3, a versatile Royal Air Force ground-attack aircraft renowned for its remarkable ability to take off and land vertically. Its characteristic fuselage, prominent air intakes and distinctive winter camouflage give the aircraft an unmistakable appearance. Thanks to its innovative design, the Harrier could operate from short runways and improvised forward airbases, making it particularly effective in supporting ground forces. This model kit offers an attractive project for enthusiasts of British military aviation, classic jet aircraft and detailed scale modelling.

The Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.3 was developed from the earlier Harrier GR.1 and featured improved ground-attack and navigation capabilities. It retained the powerful Rolls-Royce Pegasus turbofan engine with rotating exhaust nozzles, allowing both vertical and short take-offs and landings. The GR.3 was also distinguished by its extended nose housing an integrated laser rangefinder, enabling more accurate target acquisition and tracking. These improvements allowed the aircraft to employ more advanced weapon systems and operate effectively during close air support missions. The Italeri model kit accurately reproduces the characteristic shape of this remarkable aircraft and provides an excellent foundation for recreating its distinctive winter camouflage scheme.

Thanks to its 1:72 scale, the recognisable features of the Harrier GR.3 are reproduced in impressive detail. The completed aircraft measures approximately 19.3 cm in length, making it an excellent addition to a collection of British military aircraft or a detailed aviation diorama. The kit includes an extensive Super Decal sheet featuring four different marking options, allowing you to finish your model with authentic military insignia. The winter camouflage also provides interesting opportunities for painting realistic colour variations, weathering and signs of operational wear. A full-colour assembly and painting guide is included to help you build and finish the aircraft accurately. This Italeri kit is suitable for both beginner and experienced aircraft modellers looking to add a distinctive version of the famous Harrier to their collection.
